PAULINE WINICK - BIOGRAPHYPauline Winick has held various leadership positions in the public arena, including serving as the Director of Communications for Miami-Dade County and as the first woman to hold the position of Executive Assistant City Manager for the City of Miami. A former Associate Vice President for Marketing at Florida International University, she worked on major events, including the Miami International Film Festival, the South Beach Food and Wine Festival and the successful launch of the inaugural season of FIU football. In Miami, she is best known for her role as the founding Executive Vice President of the Miami Heat, where she oversaw all business functions for the NBA team for almost 11 years. She was the driving force in bringing the NBA All-Star Weekend to Miami in the Heat's second season.
Recently, Winick has been working on additional creative material for seminars. A dynamic public speaker, she has also worked as a private public relations counsel for high-profile individuals.
Long active in the cultural community, she is Vice President of the Board of Trustees of the Miami-Dade Public Library system. In 2006, Winick and her husband were recognized as the first Library Pioneers in recognition of their commitment to continually improve public access to this important resource. A founding member of The Miami City Ballet, she has served as Chairman of the Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Council as well as a founding member and Chairman of the Miami Beach Cultural Arts Council.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Brooklyn College and a Master's Degree in Literature from New York University. She also holds an Associate of Arts Degree in Radio and Television Production from Miami Dade College. Pauline also trained at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris and received certification in all aspects of business etiquette and protocol training from the Protocol School of Washington.
